There was nothing that would stop or get in our way
And I know you will always be there for meSo when you’re lost and you’re tired
When you’re broken in two
Let my love take you higher
Cause I still turn to you
It’s been 37 years since you were born. 37 years since the most beautiful woman ever, came into the world. But those 37 haven’t been easy on you. Your sister died in a car crash when you were five. You were sexually abused by your dad. You didn’t feel welcome anywhere, you felt like no one understood you. You ran away from home, experimented with drugs and alcohol. You lived your life like this for a long time. Then, one day, you decided you couldn’t take it anymore. You could only find one solution to it all: suicide. You went to a busy street. You saw the trailer coming. You stepped in front of it, prepared yourself for the end. But nothing happened. The trailer managed to get past you. You were devastated. What were you supposed to do with your life now? You were brought to the hospital. A priest told you to go to the chapell. Why? Why should you do that? There’s no such thing as a “God” anyway, is it? You decided to give it a try. And little did you know, it was going to change your life. Forever. A few months later, you got pregnant. You fell back on the wrong track for a while, but you managed to get yourself together again, and nine months later, March 1st 1994 to be exact, you gave birth to the most beautiful baby boy anyone had ever seen. You split up with his dad when he was only ten months. You raised your little boy all on your own. You didn’t have much, but you tried to make sure you could be the best that you could for him. Wanna know something? You were. You still are. You’ve done such a fantastic job. Just look at your little boy! He’s a world famous recording artist! You deserve all the respect in the world. You’re such an amazing and inspiring woman. I love you, you’re my idol. Happy Birthday, Patricia Lynn Mallette.
